I have officially lost my mind...
I recaptioned and submitted a lolcat today.

http://mine.icanhascheezburger.com/view.aspx?ciid=1592973

I've never had an inclination to do that in my life...but the expression on this cat's face just reminded me of Sylvester when the mouse drinks the Jekkyl/Hyde serum.

This is what happens when fatigue sets in. I need sleep. Srsly.

Oh, that's gonna hurt.
I rode Jimi bareback yesterday. Long about 3pm today my thigh muscles and lower back are going to be very unhappy.

I used to ride Gunner bareback EVERYWHERE. Its probably what made me such a good rider. Bless Gunner's heart, he was, by far, the best horse in the world. They just don't make them like Gunner anymore. I haven't ridden bareback in almost 5 years. When James was a baby I hopped on him bareback once, but it confused him. He didn't do anything bad, he just didn't do anything right.

Yesterday was a barrel of monkeys. I've lost a lot of body strength from not riding bareback. It was fun trying "stick on" and still have proper form ROFL. (Almost slid off twice). All [info]happy_appy1and I did was laugh. I saidto her, "I dont' think I'll be cantering today." Heh heh. I'd have slid off for sure!

So, for something new, I am going to ride Jimi bareback at least once a week - it will help us both with our balance (and help get my aging and lazy bod back into shape.) I need to get that pony outside again--all we do is ride in the indoor arena. Hopefully next week we can use the outdoor paddock. Since he grew up in a show ring, nothing about shows bothers him (e.g. horses, barking dogs, children running about, mopeds, golf carts, trucks, trailers, you name it.) But get that pony in the field and OMG! sheds and aderondak chairs eat horses. pfht.

Side note: today is going to be a huge day. I STILL have to finish that darn ritual, tidy up the living room (I've given up trying to put my laundry away--I just suck at it) and get everything ready for tonight before I head out early to set up.

Time for coffee.

Meditation Music
Ask and Ye shall receive...

...I am leading a journey for the Full Moon ritual at the church. Finding good music can be difficult at times. So I asked Zon to whip something up. Although, I think in my head I was wanting more of a melody--what he sent me is going to be perfect!

The music is very, very relaxing...zzzzzzzzz....oh, wait, yes, I'm at work....its chords are sustained and move slowly from one to the other and will be a wonderful fill of soundspace during the journey.

I like to use music beneath my voice when leading a journey.  This particular piece has no melody at all--just progression, which ultimately I believe will help everyone to focus more inwardly.

SQUEE! Thank you, Zon! You have no idea how much I appreciate this!  I am so excited!!

Blog Topics
Well, alrighty then...

...I'm looking for blog topics. Does anyone have anything they'd like to see me blog on?

In other news...it took me 30 minutes to figure out the passwords to Greyson's website account. Zheesh. All we needed to do was check the freakin' mail.

FAIL.

Oh lookie...its 10pm.
Lay down you say.
Only an hour you say!

::insert your favorite lolcat pic here::

Pfht. FOUR (count them 1,2,3,4) hours later I woke up. Some nap. Now I'm WIDE awake. So, I've run through the flist, found the shiny button (thank you, btw), made frittatas for the week, made chicken for lunches this week, put dishes away, washed the rest of the dishes, tidied up the kitchen, WROTE (whew, yes, I wrote about 200 words), played with the cat and I'm AWAKE. Ack. I'm going to be awake until 2am.

Why do I do this? Some please explain for it eludes me.

Timbre: Yep, still awake.

Personal Observations
I'm feeling kind of insignificant these days.

There is a Fireman's Annual Street Faire going on just two blocks away. The bands sound like they are in my living room the volume is so loud. This saddens me. Why? Because I'm sitting here alone in my Grandmother's house (save for the cat) and am too chicken to walk down ALONE. Sure, it is safe...but I would feel to incredibly awkward walking down to a festival...ALONE. Me, the sassy outgoing one.

[info]finehorses will drive to Ohio, stay 4 days in a hotel room and attend the Equine Affaire alone! And I can't get enough gumption up to walk down the street.

Le Loser Sigh.

The irony of it all is I am in the midst of writing the Full Moon ritual for next Sunday--Celebrating Our Successes ROFL and I all can think about are my shortcomings, stalled manuscripts, mounds of debt, stagnant career, creeping weightgaine and the cracks in my ceiling growing larger by the week.

Le Second Loser Sigh.

Le Happy Sigh
I am such a lucky woman at times. Last night I was telling Zon about the journey I would like to do for the Spiritways Full Moon ritual on the 20th .

Me:  Can you whip up 20 - 30 minutes of "meditation music" to accompany the journey for me?

(For as intelligent as I am, sometimes I act so naive. Um, hello! Like he's going to just whistle it out of his ass. Composing music does take a bit of effort.)

Zon: Sure, baby!

(Little Secret: He can program the sounds on his synths that the darn things can practically play themselves once he gets them going. So, I guess my request was not so out of the ordinary after all.)

Le' happy sigh.

Thank you, Zon! I love you! You have no idea how much I appreciate it!!

I feel like a kept woman...
...my mother hardly lets me pay for anything these days when we are out shopping together. I'm neither complaining nor bragging and can only figure she is hellbent on spending her inheritance from Pap's estate in this lifetime. lol

Yes, we went shopping today--craft store then grocery store (oh, trip to the liquor store inbetween but I'm counting that in with the groceries).

Oh lookie...its 24 minutes past beer o'clock. Someone is late for her own party.

Asta la vino!

Cheers all around!

Wasn't That a Party?
I got the brilliant idea to throw a party yesterday. I swear, sometimes, its just an excuse to clean the house ROFL. Seriously, I love throwing parties. It wasn't a large party--just 7 people including myself. (The neighbors, mom and dad, and [info]finehorses). You'd have thought it was a large party by the amount of food we ran through.

Steaks
Corn on the cobb
Zucchini and onion salad mom whipped up
Potatoe salad
Macaroni salad
The best dang baked beans I ever had in my life (with any luck my neighbor will share her recipe)
Fresh pineapple
Fresh watermelon
A gorgeous mandarin salad [info]finehorsesbrought  (to. die. for.)
Nutroll
Beer
Wine
whiskey
Yeagermeister
Did I mention beer?
Did I mention it was an entire BOTTLE of Yeagermeister?
Good conversation
Lots of laughs
Good music (I dragged the sound system from my computer downstairs and set it up on the porch). huzzah!

And oh, for those of you who haven't been here yet, I iive on top of a goatpath--not so easy in the winter but crazy perfect in the summer. We watched fullblown fireworks from 8 neighborhoods, all from the cozy comfort of my patio.

Today? Well, pfht, we're going to do it all over again, of course! This time with burgers and dogs.

Maybe I'll get my head out of my ass and remember to take pictures this time.

Timbre: do it again, Mufassah!

Yes, I'm Still Alive
Life is just very big in my little corner of the world. No, I'm not even lurking. This has been the first time in days I have even logged on to LJ. Last night I found an email from lourdesmont in my inbox. Thank goodness it only sat one night.

::Waves::

I don't even know where to start, life has been so full both at work and home. I'm writing, cooking, cleaning, running errands, visiting parents, riding, working, playing with Irene, having tea with the neighbor, hangning shelves, shopping....Am taking tomorrow off.

Crayons all around.

To Whom It May Concern...
....and you know who you are. There is a rock in my purse. I would love nothing more than to off-load it, especially since I have heard much yipping and to-do over these recent months. ::pokes you lovingly:: ;)

I'll be at the church on Sunday (I am on the Greeter's List...my turn has come around once again on the ol' guitar. Yay.)

Wanna have lunch after service?

Holy Crap.
I feel like I've done the work of three women today, and possibly I have. Today was completely nuts at work. I am here alone today (the other two cohorts are out--one for the rest of the week, one for just the day--although she is the useless one so could just as well be considered out for the week also).

Between fixing computers, doling out equipment, answering the phone, getting yipped at by my housekeeper (because my house was a wreck lol--hey, clean it; I'm one woman), answering questions over chat software, fielding inquiries from people who feel they are above protocol in calling our HelpDesk, setting up/attending/tearing down from a People Team meeting, starting a rewave at 4:30...yeah, I rock.

Have I mentioned the cold pizza and cookie for dinner (leftovers from lunch) and that I am still here at 6:37pm EDT, AND I still need to start a configuration (so it can run overnight)...then drive 45 minutes home.

Oh yeah, need something done? Give it to a busy person. Ack.

Have I mentioned I'm tired?

Oh, have I mentioned my Muse came back from vacation and is now chipping away at the inside of my brain with an icepick?

Talked to Frank. And yes, I was nice...there was no reason not to be. Overspray? Alcohol. He said test a spot first just to be sure it won't pull the finish. But that should do the trick.
